Terms of Service

These terms explain how shopping at Clovehush works, from the moment you land on a page to the day a little ceramic dish arrives at your door. Please give them a read; if something is unclear, just ask.

1. Who runs this shop

The Clovehush website and online store are operated by HUA TONG INTERNATIONAL (HK) LIMITED. Where these terms say "Clovehush", "we", "us" or "our", they mean that company. Our registered office is:

2. Age and eligibility

To place an order you need to be 18 or older, or to have reached the age of majority where you live. Placing an order confirms that you can legally form a binding contract. Anyone younger is welcome to look around, with a parent or guardian completing any purchase.

3. Your account

You can check out as a guest; an account simply saves your details and order history. If you create one, keep your login private, give us correct information and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it. You are responsible for orders placed through your account, and we may suspend an account used in breach of these terms.

4. Our dishes, photos and colour

Every Clovehush dish is glazed ceramic with a printed design, about 5 inches across. Because each piece is fired and glazed, tiny variations in size, glaze sheen, print placement or the edge of the rim are normal and are not defects. We photograph and describe each design as faithfully as we can, yet screens differ, so the colour you see may vary slightly from the dish in your hand.

Where a design shows gold, silver or other shiny-looking tones, these are printed colours, not metallic finishes. Our dishes are decorative and are not intended for serving or storing food.

5. Prices

Prices are listed in US dollars and include any discount shown at the time. Shipping costs are added at checkout, and any import duties or local taxes in your country are payable by you. We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order we have already confirmed. If an item is listed at an obviously wrong price because of a mistake, we may cancel that order and refund you in full.

6. Placing an order and acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we send the dish, not when you receive your automatic order confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order, for example when a design is unavailable, when a payment cannot be verified or when the order appears to be for resale in bulk. If we cancel after taking payment, you get every cent back.

7. Paying for your order

Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify's secure checkout and its payment partners. We accept the methods shown at checkout, which may include major credit and debit cards and digital wallets. We never see or keep your full card number. Details are on our Payment & Security page.

8. Delivery and risk

We ship worldwide with tracking. Delivery estimates are set out in our Shipping Policy and are estimates only; carrier and customs delays can happen. Ownership of and risk in the dish pass to you once it is delivered to the address you gave us. Please check that address carefully, as we cannot always redirect a parcel once it has left us.

9. Returns and faults

You may return a dish within 30 days of delivery, including simply because you changed your mind. If a dish arrives chipped, cracked or wrong, we put it right at no cost. The full process is in our Return & Refund Policy. None of this affects your statutory consumer rights.

10. Intellectual property and our trademark

Everything on this site, including the dish designs, photographs, text, graphics and page layouts, belongs to HUA TONG INTERNATIONAL (HK) LIMITED or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may view and share our pages for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, print onto products, sell or otherwise exploit our artwork or content without written permission.

Clovehush is a trademark owned and operated by HUA TONG INTERNATIONAL (HK) LIMITED. The name may not be used in connection with any product or service that is not ours, or in any way that could confuse customers.

11. Using the site fairly

Please do not use the site for anything unlawful or harmful. In particular, you agree not to:

• try to break into, overload or disrupt the site or its systems;
• scrape, harvest or copy content or data by automated means;
• impersonate anyone else or give false details when ordering;
• post or send anything abusive, defamatory or infringing through our forms or reviews;
• place orders you do not intend to pay for or accept.

12. Links to other sites

We sometimes link to websites run by others, such as carriers' tracking pages. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Visiting them is at your own discretion.

13. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep the site accurate and running smoothly, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that the site will always be uninterrupted or free of errors, and we do not give warranties beyond those set out in these terms and those the law requires.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clovehush and HUA TONG INTERNATIONAL (HK) LIMITED are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or our products. Our combined liability for any claim connected with an order will not exceed the sum you paid us for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

15. Indemnity

You agree to compensate HUA TONG INTERNATIONAL (HK) LIMITED and its officers and staff for claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site, except to the extent they were caused by us.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from an order, are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong SAR, and the courts of Hong Kong SAR have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep any mandatory protections given to you by the law of the country where you live. Before going further, please email us first so we can try to settle any concern informally.

17. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time, and the date at the top shows the latest version. The terms in force when you place an order are the ones that apply to that order.

18. Severability and entire agreement

If a court finds any part of these terms invalid, the remaining parts stay in effect. These terms, with the policies they refer to, form the whole agreement between you and us about your use of the site and your purchases. A delay in enforcing any right does not mean we have waived it.
